TRAIN LIKE A GIRL

Frequently Ask Question

  • When do I need a Personal Trainer?
  • When you are overweight, when you are underweight, when you are unfit, when you want to get fitter, when you have just had a baby, when you are in training, when you are bored with training, when the kids have left home, when the Jeans don't fit, when you are too busy to keep fit, when you are going skiing, when Christmas has happened, when Summer is about to happen, when aerobics has got boring, when you can't avoid the mirror, when you always avoid the scales!
  • I have heard that some personal trainers are not very experienced or qualified. How do I know that you are?
  • I pride myself in being fully qualified and would encourage you to ensure you feel comfortable working with any personal trainer you choose. We will discuss my experience and qualifications during your initial consultation. I strive to keep at the cutting edge of fitness research with continuous practical and theoretical education.
  • What sort of people are Personal Trainers?
  • Any trainer you choose should be an energetic, committed, motivating, enthusiastic, bright, sympathetic, dedicated, understanding, busy, interested, professional, healthy, intelligent, flexible, knowledgeable, approachable, confidential, trustworthy, friendly...
  • Why should I use a Personal Trainer?
  • Some people are happy to follow their own program in their own time and place. For those who lack the time, or the motivation, or the energy to train effectively on their own, a Personal Trainer can be the answer. The support, advice and encouragement comes with safe exercise technique to help you avoid injuries.
  • How often should I train?
  • Three times each week should be sufficient for you to start feeling and seeing results. Whether you work out with your Trainer every time is up to you, and may depend on how motivated you are, how often you can afford to train and what you schedule is every week. I can provide unsupervised training programs for the sessions per week when you are on your own.
  • Do I need to be in reasonable shape before I start?
  • No, I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from training and exercise. You are never too old or unfit to get started. Whether your goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, or just improve your overall fitness, I can work with you to achieve your goals.
  • What are the benefits of varying your workout routine?
  • As a single mom of six children routine is key to a great day. Routine has its place, but when it comes to workouts, mixing things up is vital. Changing your routine every 6-8 weeks eliminates the dreaded plateau, elevates motivation, and lessens boredom. Muscles and joints benefit being used in different ways. Too much repetition can create problems. Varying workouts reduces the risk of over training leading to associated injuries, increases overall strength, better sculpts your physique, and challenges your body.
